“Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you are right!” – Henry Ford.
Whether you believe us or not, this read is about to seriously rock your mind!!! Seldom do you come across a more fitting title for a book, and this one just says it all: your thoughts make biology. Fact!
How often did you sneeze and say: I think I’m coming down with a cold, only to wake up with one the next morning? How many stories have you heard of people meditating themselves back into health? What about the well-recognised laughter therapy? And the power of hypnosis on the subconscious mind manifesting physical changes in your body?
Dr. Bruce Lipton, the award-winning author of “The Biology of Belief” is now an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit by examining the principles of quantum physics. Through his work in the field of epigenetics, Dr. Lipton was able to produce breakthrough studies on the cell membrane, which revealed that the outer layer of the cell was “an organic homologue of a computer chip” – the cell’s equivalent of a brain – and that it was the environment (NOT the genes), operating through the membrane, that ultimately control the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning genes on and off. What this boils down to, is that anyone genetically prone to a disease can prevent the onset of that disease by taking control of their health, and thoughts!
While the topic itself may sound scientific, the book is written with great sense of humour and the light tone makes the topic very approachable for ANY reader. The gist of it might be bad news for those of us hanging onto our good family genes, but good news for everyone else trying to take control of their life by choosing the right environment (including forming good habits). The message is clear: think beyond your genes. They might be spring-loaded to fire, but it’s up to you not to pull the wrong trigger! Thank you Dr. Lipton for your amazing insights! We’ll take it from here…
